From the gravel hills of Atlit on the Mediterranean shore to the agriculture farm of Aaronsohn at the Carmel mountain feet spread an impressive Washingtonia (Washingtonia robusta) boulevard. The giant trees (reach approx. 40m height) were planted at the beginning of the 20th century, some 100 years ago by the legendary agriculture expert Aaron Aaronsohn.
Everyone who approaches Atlit cannot ignore the old trees. Just to hug them and wish them many years to thrive.
